ShadeCloud is an outdoor installation inspired by Houston’s hot days. It is located in a busy public courtyard. It offers shade and cooling mist on hot summer days, and provides light at night.

This wall mounted sculpture is comprise of found antique shade armatures arranged in a circular pattern. The identification of the forms as shades almost disappears into the one new form assembled.
